We do not have a minimum order, however, each order is made up of four components: design, material, machining and set up. The only variables are design time and set up. The more pieces per order the lower the charges per piece.

Yes, Appropriate methods of sanding are utilized to achieve final finish. Typically, 180-200 grit sand paper is used depending on the wood species.
Humidity is a very significant factor in maintaining long life of all wood products. GWP operates special humidification machines which maintain relative humidity throughout our shop at 36% - 38%. If the air gets too dry, wood parts may show checking or even split. If the air becomes too moist, wood has a tendency to warp and twist. All "glued up" wood parts must be kept out of water. Most glue used for normal manufacturing purposes will “fail” if exposed to water. There are glues available for use in high moisture areas, but this requirement must be clearly specified at the time of order.
"Glued up" blanks are preferred in order to control warping and splitting. Solid squares are unable to be properly dried in the kilns to minimize shrinkage as the wood cures to its stabilized point.
